When Clyde was 16 years old, his father was killed in a farming accident. Clyde was devastated by his father's death, but he knew that he had to continue working to support his family. He dropped out of school and took on a full-time job at a local factory.

Clyde worked long hours at the factory, but he never gave up on his dream of going to college. He studied at night and on weekends, and he eventually earned his GED. In 1954, Clyde was accepted to Tuskegee University.

Clyde was a successful student at Tuskegee. He graduated with honors in 1958 and went on to medical school. In 1962, Clyde became the first African American to graduate from the University of Alabama School of Medicine.

After graduating from medical school, Clyde returned to his hometown and opened a medical practice. He dedicated his life to serving the underserved community in which he grew up. Clyde was a beloved doctor and a respected member of the community. He served as the president of the local NAACP chapter and was a strong advocate for civil rights.

Clyde Dempsey passed away in 2010 at the age of 78. He left behind a legacy of service and achievement that will continue to inspire generations to come.

The True Story Of Clyde Dempsey is a story of hope and inspiration. It is a reminder that anything is possible if you have the courage to follow your dreams.
